Shipley based Acespeed Historic Motorsport has won a top business award in its 25th year of business.  Acespeed restore classic Mini’s and build competitive racing and rallying Mini Coopers which appear at top Historic events across the Uk and Europe.

The Corporate Livewire Prestige Awards celebrates small and medium-sized enterprises. The programme awards those that have thrived in their highly competitive business sector and have proven their success during the past 12 months.

Winners are chosen on marketing and branding, business growth methods, customer experience, and approach to new ideas. They also look at the history of the business which has stood the test of time and continued to grow despite social, political and financial challenges.

Despite 25 years of traditional engineering and skills the company has innovated by developing a new range of products for race car builds including lightweight alloy parts such as fuel tanks.  Recently the company has launched an online retail business to bring these products to market.  This has been particularly important given the recent Corona Virus pandemic which has impacted on Motorsport and race car preparation.

Said Andy Harrison, owner of Acespeed.

It is a great honour to receive this award in recognition of the work of the team here at Acespeed.  We take great pride in offering excellent customer service as well as high levels of technical skills.  But it is particularly gratifying to know that one of our customers felt sufficiently appreciative to make the nomination.
