At Acespeed we are supporters of our local community and our racing family. Bradford is where we are located and many of our staff and suppliers are based here. We are committed to putting something back into the local community by supporting the Lord Mayors Appeal which supports community projects and good causes. We were proud to use our presence at the Goodwood Festival of Speed to promote the Lord Mayors Charity and in 2019 held a Motorsport Dinner with Mike Wood as guest speaker. The event raised £250 for the Lord Mayors appeal. Acespeed are also partners in The Yorkshire Classic (formerly the Bradford Classic) and always take a selection of race and rally cars to the event. To show our appreciation for the support of the motorsport community we sponsor events at Harewood Hillclimb which encourage new motorsport participants. We are also keen to encourage young people to get involved in classic car ownership and motorsport.
Today, 50 million people around the world have dementia. Unless a cure is found, one in three people born today will get dementia in their lifetime. A new person develops dementia every three seconds. This crisis cannot continue.
Founded by Formula 1 racing legend Sir Jackie Stewart, Race Against Dementia is driven to raise money to fund breakthrough and innovative dementia research.
