Coming soon. PVW885D, a 1966 Mk1 1275 Cooper S, which has been extensively rallied from 1966 to the present day. Rallied during the 60s and early 70s by glamorous Ruth Ascott, who competed in PVW on numerous national and some international events. She would compete in events featuring some of the greats, such as Paddy Hopkirk, Roger Clark, Brian Culcheth, Roy Fidler etc. In the 1970s she gave up rallying and it would not be until 1991 that PVW would be rally prepared by Steve Harris (of Downtown fame) at Harris Engineering. Since then it has competed on numerous historic stage and road events both national and international, taking it across Europe and as far as North Africa.
PVW comes with a huge history file with event photos, rally plates, rally regs, period press articles, from the 60s to the present day. The summary of its history runs to 178 pages. There are Motoring News reviews of events on which PVW competed and in a few, when Ruth was in the top 5, she is featured in the results.
